All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Robert Lee McFerrin Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lee McFerrin, 88, of Galvez, La., were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Beulah Methodist Church in Marthaville. Rev. Foster Jennings, and Rev. Brent Fleming officiated. Interment was in Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Mr. McFerrin died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1985, in Galvez, La. Mr. McFerrin was a native, and former resident of Marthaville. He served as former secretary to the Rebel State Park, and was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War I. He was a former Constable in Ward 5 of Natchitoches Parish. McFerrin was a member of the American Legion, and Bethany Baptist Church. He is survived by four sons, William H. McFerrin of Napa, Calif., Gerald D. McFerrin of Galvez, La., Walter McFerrin of Natchitoches, and Joe Amos McFerrin of Natchitoches; two sisters, Ila Bruce of Houston, Tex., and Eunice Eason of Marthaville; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren. Pallbearers were the grandsons.
