Services were held at Warren Meadows Chapel, on Oct. 9, at 4 p.m., with Rev. Louis Coppage, and Rev. Joe Ratcliff officiating. Burial was at Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Miss McFarland was born in Provencal, and graduated from Many High School in 1912. She graduated from La. State Normal College (Northwestern) at Natchitoches. She also attended Ward-Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., and the University of Bolder, Colorado. She taught school all her life, and belonged to the National Association of Retired Teachers. She was a lifelong member of the Many First United Methodist Church. Survivors include one brother, H. A. McFarland of Ada, Okla.; and two nephews. Pallbearers included Huey Nabours, Osborne Miller, John Corley, Alfice Brumley, Judge John Pickett, and Bucky Slay. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. S. F. Fraser, John Blake Jr., Dr. Warren Founds, Clark Pouncy, and I. B. Malone.
