Mrs. Madge Phillips McFerrin

  Funeral services for Mrs. Madge Phillips McFerrin, 72, were held
at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 8, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home
Chapel in Mansfield. Interment followed at Spring Ridge Cemetery,
under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel.

  Mrs. Madge Phillips McFerrin died Thursday, December 6, at
DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield.

  She was born in Crockett, Texas, August 6, 1918. Mrs. McFerrin
was a member of First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill. She
sponsored FHA organizations in area high schools, where she
served as a home economics teacher, until her retirement, after
35 years of teaching. She was also a LEA member, and a member of
Delta Kappa Gamma, and a member of the National Home Economics
Association.
