The Sabine Index - October 5, 1988

  Mrs. Tera Simmons McFarland

  Services for Mrs. Tera Simmons McFarland were held at 11 a.m. on
Monday, September 26, 1988 at Red Land Baptist Church with Rev.
D. A. Edmundson, pastor, officiating. Interment was at Yellow
Pine Cemetery.

  Mrs. McFarland was born April 21, 1912 in Claire, La, the first
of four children born to the late Sandy Simmons and Samantha
Morris Simmons.

  She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Otis McFarland,
two sons, Otis Jr. and Robert; one sister, Ora L. Wright; one
brother, Homer Simmons; five grandsons and one great grandson and
a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  Pallbearers included Otis McFarland Jr., Robert McFarland,
Albert Norris, Ivory Gasaway, Billy Byrd and Homer Simmons.
