McFerrin Funeral services for Mr. Bennie W. McFerrin, 63, were held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1994, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating was Dr. N. O. Pugh, retired Baptist minister. Burial was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. McFerrin died Friday, Dec. 31, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Belmont, and had been a resident of Shreveport for the last 58 years. He was a Protestant, and an Operating Engineer Foreman for LSU-S. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Evelyn McFerrin; two sons, Ronald W. McFerrin, an Charles D. McFerrin; two daughters, Baula M. Lewis of Shreveport, and Connie Fugler of Marshall, Texas; four grandchildren, Eric Neal, Christopher Neal, Jonathan Lewis, and Jordan Fugler; four sisters, Mozella Kindle of Shreveport, Adel Kindle of Waco, Texas, Doris McFerrin, and Betty Jo Kelly, both of Shreveport; three brothers, Clayton McFerrin of Bethany, Marvin McFerrin of Shreveport, and Charles E. McFerrin of Covington.
