Officiating was Dr. Jere Melilli. Interment was in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Mr. McFerrin died Friday, June 16, at 2:15 a.m., at M. D. Anderson Medical Center, Houston. Mr. McFerrin was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Cubby Lavance McFerrin. Mr. McFerrin's occupation was Chemical Engineer, and he was owner of Louisiana Chemical Specialties, Inc. He was a native of Shreveport, and was a member of Christian Life Fellowship Church, Greater Baton Rouge Industrial Managers Association, Louisiana Chemical Association, Mississippi Manufactures Association, Industrial Development of Brookhaven, Miss., American Chemical Engineers Association, and a Georgia Tech University Graduate. Survivors include his widow, Lisa Farris McFerrin of Brookhaven, Miss.; mother, Mrs. Lea McFerrin of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Carrie Renee McFerrin, and Denise Marie McFerrin, both of Brookhaven, Miss.; and one son, William J. "Joe" McFerrin Jr. of Brookhaven, Miss.
