Mr. McPhearson was born and raised near Converse, where he also lived for a number of years. Mr. McPhearson is survived by his wife, Edna Derrick McPhearson; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Brand, Shreveport, Mrs. R. B. Farrar of Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. Phillip Rhoades of Long Beach; two sons, James Carl McPhearson of Long Beach, and Robert William McPhearson Jr., serving with the armed forces in Southeast Asia; two sisters, Mrs. T. E. Bossier Sr. of Converse, and Mrs. Stanley Senn of Bakersfield, Calif.; two brothers, Fred McPhearson of Mansfield, and Terry McPhearson of Coushatta; five grandchildren; and a stepmother, Mrs. H. E. McPhearson of Pleasant Hill. Graveside services and burial, with full military rites, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, in San Diego Military Cemetery, San Diego, California.
