All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** John Louis McCook Sr. Funeral services for John Louis McCook Sr., 54, of Shreveport, a former treasurer for Centenary College, were at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Marshall Street Chapel. Dr. D. L. Dykes, Dr. Webb Pomeroy, and the Rev. James M. Moore officiated. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. McCook died at 8:55 p.m., Friday, at Schumpert Medical Center, after a long illness. He was secretary-treasurer of Blaylock Investment Co., and a certified public accountant. A native of Robeline, Mr. McCook had lived in Shreveport 21 years. Mr. McCook was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the administrative board, and where he and his wife taught the children's division of the Sunday school. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Molly McCook; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. J. McCook of Georgetown, Tex.; one son, John L. McCook Jr. of Shreveport; one daughter, Diane McCook of Shreveport; and one brother, J. J. McCook Jr. of Shreveport. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of First United Methodist Church.
