The Sabine Index - Charlie Monroe Moses

  26 Aug 1949 - Funeral services for Charlie Monroe Moses, age
77, of Belmont, who died Aug. 16, in a Shreveport hospital
following a long illness, were held Wednesday of last week at
3:30 p.m. from Belmont Baptist church by Rev. Laterman, pastor,
officiating, assisted by Rev. Jerry Schmucker of Converse. The
remains were laid to rest in Belmont cemetery.

  Pallbearers were six grandsons: Horace Moses, Jr., O. L.
Moses, Imon Leach, Aubrey Leach, Ted Blankenship, Edgar
Blankenship. Interment was under direction Massingill funeral
home.

  Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Nonie
Bullard Moses; three sons, Horace G. Moses, Converse, Jess A.
Moses, Oil City, Walter T. Moses, Fort Worth, Texas; three
daughters, Mrs. Effie Blankenship, Belmont, Mrs. Marie Dyes,
Shreveport, Mrs. Lurline Burrow, Shreveport; a brother, Dewroy
Moses, Belmont; 33 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
