Moses, 55, of DeRidder, died Thursday afternoon, May 8, in a local hospital, after a sudden illness. Services were at 2 p.m., Friday, May 9, in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. L. J. Nichols officiating. Burial was in Old Cypress Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Moses of DeRidder; three sons, John E. Moses, Jerry D. Moses, and Ricky L. Moses, all of DeRidder; three daughters, Mary E. Lambert of DeRidder, Shirley A. Calcote of Rosepine, and Carolyn S. Tramel of Dry Creek; her mother, Virgie Keel of Nederland, Texas; two sisters, Ruby Roach, and Mildred Bell, both of Nederland; five brothers, Arthur Keel, and Bill Keel, both of DeRidder, Winifred Keel, and Earl Keel, both of Port Arthur, Texas, and Homer Keel of Many; six grandchildren.
