Bessie Crump Megason

  Services for Mrs. Bessie Crump Megason, 82, of Marthaville, were
held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, at the Beulah Methodist
Church in Marthaville. The Rev. G. C. Berly, and the Rev. Brent
Fleming officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Plans were
under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in
Natchitoches.

  She died at 3:20 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 1983, at the
Natchitoches Long Term Care Center, after a lengthy illness. Mrs.
Megason was a lifelong resident of the Beulah Community.

  She is survived by two sons, Leland G. Megason of Dallas, Texas,
and Leonard Megason of Biloxi, Miss.; one daughter, Vernice M.
McFerren of Marthaville; one sister, Luvina Smith of Sulphur;
seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were George Megason, Jerry Megason, Kenneth Megason,
David McFerren, David Parish, and Raymond Welch.
