Austin Megason

  Services for Austin Megason were held Thursday, June 8, 1993, at
10 a.m., in Bethel Congregational Methodist Church, with Rev.
William Hassan officiating. Burial will follow in Ajax Cemetery
at Ajax, La., under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral
Home of Natchitoches, La.

  Mr. Megason, 75, of Robeline, died at 5:35 p.m., Tuesday, June
6, 1993, in Natchitoches Manor Nursing Home.

  Mr. Megason, a native and lifelong resident of Robeline, was a
retired fence contractor, and a veteran of World War II, with the
U.S. Navy. He was a member of Beulah Methodist Church near
Marthaville.

  Survivors include his wife, Gertie Megason of Robeline; two
sons, Olan Megason of Natchitoches, and Mark Megason of Robeline;
one daughter, Ann Anderson of West Monroe; three sisters, Gladys
Lauw of Natchitoches, Avis Johnson, and Louise Smith, both of
Robeline; four brothers, Bee R. Megason of Wascom, Tex., Dick
Megason of Safford, Ariz., Claudia Megason of Clute, Tex., and
Kenny Megason of Robeline; six grandchildren; and two great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Randy McNealy, Neal McNealy, Don Lauw, Bee R.
Megason, Richard Johnson, and Kenneth Megason.
