"Cheese" McEachern Services for Mr. Willie F. "Cheese" McEachern, 81, of Springhill, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, at the First Baptist Church in Springhill, where he was a member. The Rev. Harry Attebery officiated. Burial was at Springhill Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill. Mr. McEachern, a native of Shongaloo, La., and a resident of Springhill for 53 years, died Tuesday, September 1, 1987, after a short illness. He was retired as a pipefitter for International Paper Co., after 30 years of service, and was a Mason, and member of Springhill Masonic Lodge No. 348 F & AM. He is survived by his wife, Edna Cobb McEachern of Springhill; two sons and daughters-in-law, James F., and Marcelle McEachern of Shreveport, John R., and Sister McEachern of Springhill; a daughter and son-in-law, Eulalia and Corley Jackson of Many; two brothers, Leon McEachern of Dubach, La., and Johnny C. McEachern if Springhill; and May Will Youngblood of Benton; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, Paul McEachern, Michael McEachern, Virgil Jackson, Joe Thompson, Robert McEachern, Curtis Jackson, Garrett McEachern, and Rick Hergenrader. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Dean, Carl LeCroy, Victor Butts, Ozell Woodard, and Rex Nelson.
