Mr. McDaniel was a native of Kentwood. He was a retired service station owner. He was a veteran of the Army and Marines and served in World War II. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs with interment following at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Tony Blachard officiated. Survivors include five stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Pat and Johnny Phillips, Bobbie and Seamen Wyers, Peggy and Dennis Paige, Clara and Danny Schexnayder and Glenda and Raymond Gates; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Hillman and Charlene Simmons and Billy and Anita Simmons; 22 step-grandchildren; 42 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his wives, Agnes Wright McDaniel and Mildred Minton McDaniel; a step-daughter, sisters, and brothers. Seale Funeral Service, Inc. Denham Springs, La.
