The Sabine Index - Lee McDonald 
  
  19 Mar 1948 - Lee McDonald age 75 years passed away suddenly at 
his home at Converse Thursday, March 4. 
  
  Mr. McDonald was a life-long citizen of Converse and an active 
member of San Patricio Baptist church. 
  
  Funeral rites were at Union Springs Baptist church by Rev. 
Ernest Lilly, Rev. Jerry Schmucker, and Rev. H. T. Isgitt. 
Interment was in Union Springs cemetery under direction of 
Drewitt funeral home. 
  
  Pallbearers were Don McDonald, J. T. McDonald, Travis Graham, 
Hughes Patrick, W. T. Boyd and Leon Coker. 
  
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rena McDonald; four sons, Rixey and 
Lannie McDonald, Converse, Edwin McDonald, Oxford, Rudolph 
McDonald, Converse; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Mancy 
Smith, Lake Charles, Mrs. Lizzie Estes, Benson, Mrs. Ludie 
Daughtery, Converse, Mrs. Nena Elliott, Mansfield, and a host of 
nieces and nephews.
