McDonald, 63, of Shreveport, died Monday, June 13, in Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., after a short illness. A native of Garrison, Tex., he had lived in Shreveport since 1939. Mr. McDonald was a retired automobile body repairman. The funeral was at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, in the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, with Frank Andrew, pastor of Linwood Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, William Joe McDonald of Shreveport, and Charles Waller of Mississippi; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Doyline Thomas of Bastrop; three sisters, Mrs. Rether Morgan of Shreveport, Mrs. Ruby Siddel of Richwood, Ohio, and Mrs. Alice Adams of Converse; three brothers, L. R. McDonald of Shreveport, O. D. McDonald of Garrison, Tex., and Emmett McDonald of Fort Worth, Tex.; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Randy McCoy, Tommy G. Turner, and Chuck Turner.
