  Mary McDonald - September 27, 1973

  Mrs. Mary Anita McDonald, 62, died in a Converse hospital Sunday
after a brief illness.

  Funeral services were held at 4 p.m., Monday in the Converse
Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Strother, the Rev. Jack Byrd
and the Rev J. C. McLelland officiating. Burial was in the Union
Springs Cemetery under the direction Drewett Funeral Home.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Pearlie Stephens of Converse;
two grandchildren; four brothers, Elliott Cooper of Leesville,
Charlie Cooper of Pelican, Clint Cooper of Converse and O. B.
Cooper of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Medie Dallew of
Converse, Mrs. Ruby Latham of Winnfield and Mrs. Carie Challis of
Kilgore, Tex.
