E. W. Goldman officiating and Rev. Charles Duncan assisting. Burial was at Springridge Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Mansfield, La. Mr. McDonald died Wednesday, June 8, 1988 at Highland Hospital after a brief illness. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Springridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lilley McDonald. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Ellis and Judy McDonald of Florien, Coy and Frankie McDonald of Florien and Stanley McDonald of Natchitoches, one sister, Mrs. Carrie Bell Stevens of Pleasant Hill; four grandchildren, Valerie McDonald, Emily McDonald, both of Florien, Megan McDonald of Shreveport, and Stanley McDonald of Richmond, Virginia. Pallbearers included Melton Free, Dalton Stevens, Marshall Estes, Jerry Snelling, D. E. Stevens, Jessie Ray Waddle, Kenneth Terrell and Johnson Dilliard. Honorary pallbearers include Terry Lane Farrar, Sonny Farrar, Wayne Wilden and Kenneth Barnes.
