Rev. Carl Crenshaw of Westwood Baptist Church, officiated. Mr. McDonald was born March 8, 1922, in Mitchell, the son of Wiley G., and Evan H. McDonald. He moved to Many at an early age, and lived here until 1939. He was married to Evelyn Ellison McDonald, and they were the parent of three children, Ray Jr. of Washington, Michael of New York, and Judy Van Houghton of Shreveport; three grandchildren; and one great grandson, Christopher. He was preceded in death by his parents, and survived by seven siblings, James H. of Amarillo, Loyce Palmer, and Doris Wright of Many, W. G. Jr. of Huntsville, Jack of Atlanta, Georgia, J. B. of Baton Rouge, and Leo of Shreveport.
