Rev. Robert Hannigan officiated. Interment followed in the Cassel Cemetery, with services under the direction of Les Fontaine Funeral Home in Many. Mr. McDonald was born in Converse, Nov. 10, 1938, and was a resident of Zwolle, where he entered into rest on Jan. 2. John was a veteran of the United States armed forces since 1967. He was a truck driver by trade. Survivors are his wife, Debra McDonald of Zwolle; three sons, Stanley McDonald (wife Rhonda) of Bossier City, Bradley McDonald (wife Shirley) of Frierson, and Dean McDonald of Zwolle; one daughter, Amanda McDonald of Zwolle; one brother, Joe McDonald of Zwolle; two sisters, Lorenda Rayborn, and Margie Anderson, both of Converse; five grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremy, Sundance, Kyndell, and Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Charlie T. Walt, Joey Groce, Bernis Graves, Charlie Myers, Michael Myers, Charles Hicks, Bobby Wayne Rayborn, and Johnny Legget.
