All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Bertha West McDaniel Funeral services for Bertha West McDaniel, 83, of Hornbeck, were held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1996, at 2 p.m., in the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck. Officiating were Revs. Ted Cabra, Edwin McCullough, and James West. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Hixon Funeral Home in Leesville. Mrs. McDaniel passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, in the Schumpert Medical Center. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. McDaniel; a son, Nathan McDaniel; a granddaughter, Glenda Sue Wilson; and all of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by six daughters, Fannie Redmond, Von Vann, Betty Willcutt, all of Collinsville, Ill., Evon Wilson, and Ruth Dixon, both of Hornbeck, and Faye Bridges of East Alton, Ill.; three sons, Luther, and Herbert McDaniel of Hornbeck, and John McDaniel of Collinsville, Ill.; thirty grandchildren; fifty two great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons.
