Mr. McDaniel was born on October 11, 1920 in Negreet, to Jack and Fannie McDaniel. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, at Les Fontaine Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Zion Hill Cemetery in Negreet. The Rev. E. E. Walker, and Rev. Kenneth Leach officiated. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce A. Salter and husband Larry of Many, and Kay Wright and husband Tony of Denton, Texas; one stepson, Benny Miller of Cary, N. C.; two brothers, Elton W. McDaniel of Many, and J. T. McDaniel of DeRidder; 11 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Fannie McDaniel; one brother, Leon McDaniel; and one granddaughter, Nicole Wright. Pallbearers were Pat Merritt, E. W. McDaniel Jr., Greg Faust, Brandt Faust, Billy Guay, Scotty Salter, Mark Ervin, and Tim Wagnon. Les Fontaine, Many, La.
