A. S. McDiarmid

  A. S. McDiarmid, 95, of Florien, died in Many, July 5, after an extended illness.

  Surviving relatives include two sons, Luther McDiarmid of Eldorado, Ark., and Willie
McDiarmid of Warren, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Gertie Edwards, and Mrs. Maggie King, both
of Florien; two brothers, Dan McDiarmid of Raleigh, N. C., and John McDiarmid of Benton,
Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held in Gandy Baptist Church Jul 7, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts,
Rev. Howard Arnold, and the Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. Burial was in Florien Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were his grandsons.
