Floyd Guin Masters

  Floyd Guin Masters, 47, of Florien, died in Fraser Hospital
South in Many, La., on October 15, at 10 a.m., following an
extended illness.

  He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Masters of Plainview
Community in Florien; four brothers, Oscar A. Masters, and Otha
Masters of Plainview Community, and Curtis Masters, and Jesse
Masters, both of Springhill, La.; one sister, Para Lea Thaxton of
the Plainview Community, and a host of relatives and friends.

  Funeral services were held at the Plainview Baptist church,
Saturday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Marvin Brown, and the
Rev. Glen Flenniken officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of
Many.
