McDermott Funeral services for Mrs. McDermott, 56, of Orange, Tex., were held at 2 p.m., November 7, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Clyde Self, former pastor of Winnfree Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens of Orange, Tex. A native of Toro, La., Mrs. McDermott had resided in Orange, since 1936. She was a retired secretary with the Orange Leader, and a member of Winnfree Baptist Church. Mrs. McDermott passed away on November 5, 1994, at the Baptist Hospital, Orange, Tex. Survivors are her widower, R. P. (Mac) McDermott of Orange, Tex.; four sisters, Agnes Arnold McAllen of Many, Hazel Moore of Wharton, Tex., Marie Mick of Boling, Tex., and Meta (Mickey) Holeovsky of Wharton, Tex.; and two brothers, Willard Arnold of Orange, Tex., and J. E. Arnold of Bridge City, Tex. Pallbearers were Willard Arnold, J. E. Arnold, Eddie Holeovsky, Johnny Miller, Buddy Dobbs, and Ben Kitchen. Honorary pallbearers were James Murray, and Raymond Miller.
