Meshell, 81, of Bossier City, were held Monday, Apr. 12, at 4 p.m., in the Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle, with the Rev. Shelton Berryman officiating. Burial was in the Aimwell Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Meshell died Friday, Apr. 9, in the Confederate Memorial Medical Center, after a short illness. He was a native of Zwolle, but had lived in the Shreveport-Bossier City area for 30 years. He was a retired boiler fireman with the Arkansas Fuel Oil Co. He is survived by two sons, Charles Meshell of Bossier City, and A. G. Meshell of Norwalk, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs. Ethyl Wynn of Bossier City, and Mrs. Dorsey Featherson of Knob Noster, Mo.; a brother, E. E. Meshell of Zwolle; a sister, Mrs. Essie Powell of Hornbeck; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
