Meshell Sr., 56, of Shreveport, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Mr. Meshell died Monday, April 23, at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Rosary was said Monday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m., at Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Southside Chapel. The Rev. Ron Matthews, associate pastor of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church officiated at the services. Burial followed in Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Meshell, a native of Zwolle, had lived in Shreveport for the past 16 years. He was a retired truck driver with Caddo Chemical Co. He was a World War II Air Force veteran, and a member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Survivors include his widow, Victoria E. Meshell; seven sons, Joe T. Meshell Jr., David L. Meshell, Richard Meshell, Raymond P. Meshell, Joseph M. Meshell, Danny P. Meshell, and Billy R. Meshell, all of Shreveport; three sisters, Pearl Beebe, Julie Beem, and Mary Malmay, all of Zwolle; one brother, Johnny Meshell of Zwolle; and 22 grandchildren.
