Arthur Allen Maxwell

  Services for Mr. Arthur Allen Maxwell, 78, of Converse, were
held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 27, at Drewett Memorial Chapel in
Mansfield. The Rev. James Carter, and the Rev. Waymon Rodheaven
officiated. Burial was in Converse Cemetery.

  Mr. Maxwell, a resident of Converse for twelve years, died
Thursday morning, July 26, at Doctors Hospital in Shreveport,
after a long illness. He was retired from the U. S. Army, with
the rank of Captain, and was a veteran of World War II.

  He is survived by one son, Harold Allex Maxwell of Anacoco; four
grandchildren, Jeffery Scott Maxwell of Converse, Kimberly Ann
Maxwell of Anacoco, Shelia Marie Maxwell, and Michael Allen
Maxwell of California; and five sisters.
