Meshell, 76, of Mansfield, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rambin, La. The Rev. Bernard Zagst, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Wellman Funeral Home. Mr. Meshell died Monday, May 11, 1987, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was a life-long resident of Mansfield, and was born in Zwolle, La. Mr. Meshell was a bus driver for the City of Mansfield. He was Catholic. He is survived by two sons, Jake Remedies of Clear Lake, La., and Leonard Meshell of Mansfield, La.; one daughter, Bessie Colson of Boise, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Lillie Procell of Shreveport, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were grandsons.
