Abe Meshell

  Abe Meshell, 78, of Many, died Feb. 28, in Zwolle, following a
short illness.

  Funeral services were held in the Emanuel Gospel Church, March
1, with the Rev. Leeman Manasco, and the Rev. Eugene Salter
officiating. Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include his wife, Edna Meshell of Many; five sons, L.
J. Meshell of Zwolle, J. D. Meshell of Many, Charles, and Dave
Meshell, both of Shreveport, and Herbert Meshell of Diana, Tex.;
four daughters, Mrs. Harvey Crittenden of Florien, Mrs. John
Harvey of Shreveport, Mrs. Ethel Wright of Many, and Mrs. Austin
Behan of Leesville; one brother, Bush Meshell of DeQuincy;
several half brothers; three sisters, Mrs. Mary, and Marclina
Parrie, both of Shreveport, and Tomantas Martinez of Texas; 28
grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Wayne Meshell, Kenneth Arthur, Joe Meshell,
Herbie Meshell, Charles Larry Meshell, and Kenneth Meshell.
