He was a maintenance worker for sawmills in Zwolle. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 2, at Zwolle United Pentecostal Church, with interment following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Philip North, pastor of Zwolle United Pentecostal Church, officiated. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Meshell and wife Lee Dell of New Caney, Texas, and Michael O. Meshell and wife Delicia of Channelview, Texas; three daughters, Judy Smith and husband Ronnie of Hartsville, Ala., Sharon Campbell and husband Joe of Channelview, Texas, and Janie Reed and husband Gary of Zwolle; one sister, Sue Morris and husband Rusty of Logansport; five brothers, Jesse Meshell, Charles Meshell, Ed Meshell, and Gerald Meshell, all of Zwolle, and Micky Meshell of Stonewall; 15 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Meshell; parents, Wiley and Mary Rivers Meshell; and one brother, Max Meshell. Pallbearers were Josh Sawyer, Jason, Gary, and Dustin Meshell, Ronnie Balentine, and Jody, and Wesley Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Leo Meshell, and Alvin Dury.
