Hosea Eugene "Gene" Meshell (Photo)

  Hosea Eugene "Gene" Meshell, 52, died Aug. 23, 2002, at his
residence in Zwolle.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Aug. 26, at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, with interment following at Old Zwolle Cemetery.
Father Tim Hurd officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Norma Meshell; parents, Hosea
Meshell and Zula Parrie, all of Zwolle; six sons, Danny Meshell,
Ray Meshell, Hosea Taylor Meshell, Patrick Meshell, and Clint
Meshell, all of Zwolle, and Kevin Meshell of Converse; three
daughters, Twyla Fountain, Nora Bliss, and Starlit Meshell, all
of Zwolle; seven sisters, Margie Garcie, Marie Alexandra, Janie
Sepulvado, and Zelda Sepulvado, all of Zwolle, Lou Morgan, and
Mildred Trahan, both of Port Arthur, Texas, and Barbara Hernandez
of Beaumont, Texas; four brothers, John Meshell, and Larry
Parrie, both of Zwolle, Tony Meshell of Coushatta, and Lester
Parrie of Springhill; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends.

  He was preceded in death by his son, John Meshell; daughter,
Jenny Leone; brother, J. L. Meshell; and stepfather, Thomas
Parrie.
