Ben C. McCollister

  Mr. Ben C. McCollister, 73, of Many, died in Shreveport,
Wednesday, May 12, at 5:57 p.m., after a short illness.

  Funeral services were held Friday, May 14, at 3 p.m., in the Mt.
Olive Baptist Church, with the Rev. Travis McCullough, and the
Rev. Buddy Greer officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Olive
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Lona McCollister of
Many; one daughter, Mrs. Murry Davis of Lake Charles; three
brothers, Jeff McCollister, and Arthur McCollister, both of Many,
and John McCollister of Toro; five sisters, Mrs. Ida Sibley, Mrs.
Grace Jackson, Mrs. Ethel Small, and Mrs. Ona Miller, all of
Many, and Mrs. Viva Small of Shreveport, and three grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Charlie Maxey, Cecil Lawrence, Dean
McCollister, David Walker, J. B. Sibley, Phil Troha, Joe Holcomb,
and Mike Small.
