A. McCollister, age 25 years, were held Sunday evening at the Old Pleasant Hill Baptist church at 2 p.m. Rev. Martin of Anacoco officiated, Massingill funeral home in charge. Pallbearers were: Roy Alford, T. M. Phillips, Edwin M. Fraser, F. E. Cole, Lester Tatum, F. A. Keelen and Paul Ebarb. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McCollister of Toro; brother, Frankie of Toro; four sisters, Mrs. Thelma Dewil and Miss Gwendoal McCollister of Toro, Misses Dorothy and Cumma Lea McCollister, both of Tampa, Fla. Cpl. McCollister was instantly killed in a truck accident 11:30 last Wednesday night near Florien. He was home of a 60-day furlough from the European theater of war, having been a prisoner of the German government 3 1/2 months. He had been home about five weeks. Cpl McCollister served with the 106th field artillery in England, France, Belgium and Germany.
