Joanna McIlwain

  Mrs. Joanna K. McIlwain, 89, of Dry Prong, died Monday, Feb. 16.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in Hargis Baptist
Church near Montgomery, with the Rev. Roy Moore, and the Rev. Tom
Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

  Survivors include her husband; five sons, Murrel McIlwain of
Atlanta, G. W. McIlwain of Columbia, Gene McIlwain of Shreveport,
Gilbert McIlwain of West Lake, and Clifford McIlwain of
Montgomery; five daughters, Mrs. Melba Royal of Many, Mrs. Audrey
Howell of Natchiotoches, Mrs. Lurla Royal of Florien, Mrs.
Mildred Futrell of Dry Prong, and Mrs. Corene Ortgo of Lake
Charles; one brother, Huey Kelly of Pasadena, Calif.; one sister,
Mrs. Allie White of Houston, Tex.; 25 grandchildren, 49 great
grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
