Jessie McLemore

  Services for Jessie McLemore, 65, of Shreveport, were held at 10
a.m., Saturday, April 1, at the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. The
Rev. James C. Buckner, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church,
officiated, and burial was in Forest Park Cemetery.

  Mr. McLemore died Thursday morning, March 30, at Schumpert
Medical Center. A native of Rayville, he had lived in Shreveport
for 45 years. He was owner of J. C. McLemore Surveyors, a former
chairman of the Metropolitan Planning Commission, a member of the
St. Paul's Episcopal church, a 32nd degree member of the
Broadmoor Masonic Lodge, and a Shriner of the El Karubah.

  He was also a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society,
member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a member
of the Louisiana Surveyors Association.

  Survivors include his widow, Roma McLemore; stepmother, Florence
McLemore of Rayville; daughters, Carroll Plotsticker of Tulsa,
Okla., Sally Godfrey of Shreveport, and Kathy Wilson of Houston;
brother, Grady McLemore of Winnsboro; and grandchildren, ?
Plotsticker, Doug Plotsticker, and Colleen Godfrey.

  Pallbearers were Gene Truit, Bill Schergens; Marvin Kent, Frank
Williams, Joe Callaway, and Roger Williams.

  He was the first cousin of Cage McLemore of Many.
