The Rev. James C. Buckner, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiated, and burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. McLemore died Thursday morning, March 30, at Schumpert Medical Center. A native of Rayville, he had lived in Shreveport for 45 years. He was owner of J. C. McLemore Surveyors, a former chairman of the Metropolitan Planning Commission, a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal church, a 32nd degree member of the Broadmoor Masonic Lodge, and a Shriner of the El Karubah. He was also a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society, member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a member of the Louisiana Surveyors Association. Survivors include his widow, Roma McLemore; stepmother, Florence McLemore of Rayville; daughters, Carroll Plotsticker of Tulsa, Okla., Sally Godfrey of Shreveport, and Kathy Wilson of Houston; brother, Grady McLemore of Winnsboro; and grandchildren, ? Plotsticker, Doug Plotsticker, and Colleen Godfrey. Pallbearers were Gene Truit, Bill Schergens; Marvin Kent, Frank Williams, Joe Callaway, and Roger Williams. He was the first cousin of Cage McLemore of Many.
