Allen Jefferson McLendon

  Mr. Allen Jefferson McLendon, 74, of Florien, died at 8:10 a.m.,
Tuesday, March 13, 1984, at his residence.

  Funeral services for Mr. McLendon will be held at 2 p.m., today,
March 15, in the Aimwell Baptist Church near Zwolle. Burial will
be in the Aimwell Cemetery. Plans are under the direction of the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leadell McLendon of Florien;
one daughter, Inez O'Haver, Florien; one son, A. D. McLendon,
Florien; two sisters, Opal Polk, Shreveport, and Barbara Cryer,
Many; and three grandchildren.
