V. and Ruth (Williams) McLanahan, of Feb. 5, 1925, in Many. Mac passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, in Tulsa, Okla. He was a longtime executive with Cities Service Oil Company (CITGO), and Tulsa based MPSI. He was also a deacon and charter member of South Tulsa Baptist Church, World War II Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater, on the island of Tinian, past member of the Jenks Public School Board of Education, and 1949 graduate of Northwestern Louisiana State University in Natchitoches. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 yers, Tobye; his parents; and his brother, Ralph McLanahan. Survivors include his daughter, Jan Hale of Jenks, Okla., daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Jay Kenderdine of Sapulpa, Okla.; his son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Kim McLanahan of Edmond, Okla.; grandchildren, Bo and Claire Hale of Jenks, Okla.; and Cole, Wade, Brian, and Paige McLanahan of Edmond, Okla.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jean and W. L. Dees of Florien; sister-in-law, Joyce McLanahan of Lake Charles; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be on at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Florien, with a private family interment following in Florien.
