McAllen - May 26, 1988 Mr. Hoyt D. McAllen, 82, of Many died in Shreveport on May 21, 1988. Services were held at First Baptist Church in Many on May 23 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Joe Ratcliff, Rev. Howard Arnold and Rev. J. P. King officiating. Burial was at Many Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. McAllen was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Agnes A. McAllen of Many; one daughter, Mildred M. Hayes of Many; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys M. Stephens of Beaumont, Tx., Mrs. Loretta M. Armour of Zwolle, Mrs. Pearl M. Moore of El Dorado, Ark., Mrs. Idell M. Singletary of Marthaville; one brother, Earl McAllen of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Steven Lee Hayes of Houma, and Ann L. Lites of Allen, Tx.; five great grandchildren, Mindi Hayes, Mandi Hayes, Megan Hayes, Steven Hayes, Jr. and Heather Lites. Pallbearers included W. R. Miller, Keith Arnold, Buey Woodle, Aubrey Veuleman, Robert McAllen and Jerry Baxter. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Campbell, Coy McAllen, J. W. Stephens, Jimmy Stephens, Harold Arnold, Ed Freeman, J. E. Arnold and Joe Williamson.
