George Ralph McLanahan

  Services for George Ralph McLanahan, 53, of Lake Charles, La.,
were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 1991, at Our Lady
Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. The Rev. Dan Flowers, John
Giles, and Bill Miller officiated, Burial followed in Consolata
Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

  A Scripture Service was recited at 7 p.m., July 17, in the
funeral home.

  George McLanahan died July 15, in Lake Charles, La. Mr.
McLanahan was employed as a U.S. Probation and Parole officer for
the past 17 years, serving as a State Probation and Parole
officer for 13 years. He was a sergeant major in the US Army
Reserve, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. A native of
Florien, he lived in Lake Charles for the past 31 years, where he
was active in the Barbe Booster Club, as well as various athletic
programs a Barbe.

  George McLanahan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Methvin
McLanahan of Lake Charles, La.; one son, Stuart McLanahan of Lake
Charles La.; one daughter, Heather McLanahan of Lake Charles,
La.; one brother, Milton McLanahan of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister,
Betty Jean Dees of Florien, La.
