Mr. Efferson McClanahan (Photo)

  Funeral services for Mr. Efferson McClanahan of Many, were held
Thursday, January 21, 1993, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

  Burial was in the Masons Cemetery in Many, under the direction
of Thomas Mortuary. Rev. Clois Rodgers officiated.

  Mr. McClanahan passed away January 16, 1993, at Sabine Medical
Center, at the age of 65.

  He was loved by everyone who ever knew him.

  He leaves to mourn his passing, Mrs. Macy Mitchell McClanahan, a
loving wife; father, Lavoy McClanahan; and a stepmother, Emma
McClanahan; two sisters, Luevelyn Fogman of Roy, Washington, and
Jim Fogman of Many; two brothers preceded him in death, Rufus,
and James McClanahan; one aunt, Eula Cole; and one uncle, Jim
Newton of Richmond, Calif.

  Children of Evelyn and Efferson are Debra M. Burr, Efferson
McClanahan II, Charles T. McClanahan, Carl L. McClanahan, Yvonne
P. McClanahan, and Velma McKnight of Los Angeles, Calif.; twenty
grandchildren; and a host of great grand nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends.

  He leaves to mourn, four stepchildren; and nine step
grandchildren from the marriage to Mrs. Ida B. Staffard
McClanahan; his present wife, Mrs. Macy Mitchell McClanahan;
seven stepchildren; twenty four step grandchildren; and a host of
step great grand nieces and nephews.
