All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Frank McLaren Funeral services for Frank McLaren, 83, of Provencal, were held Thursday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. The Rev. Curtis Dickens officiated. Burial was in Weaver Cemetery in Flora. McLaren died Tuesday, in the Natchitoches Parish Long Term Care Unit. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a retired carpenter. He was also a native of Fairview Alpha. Survivors include five sons, Spence McLaren, Rufus McLaren, and Robert McLaren, all of Provencal, Vernon McLaren of Natchitoches, and Douglas McLaren of Mansfield; three daughters, Mrs. Ola Josey of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Marjorie Sparks of Provencal, and Mrs. Patsy Brittain of Bellevue, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Lou Anna Hanley of Fairview Alpha, and Mrs. Thelma Norsworthy of Many; one brother, Jack McLaren of Anacoco; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Christ McLaren, Ernest McLaren, Mike McLaren, Earl Page, Bammie Page, and Blake McCullough. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Holland, Ray Thompson, Curtis Rachal, Miles Bailey, Robert Hanley, and Otha Davis.
