James J. McCleary

  Funeral services for James J. McCleary, 79, of Florien, were
held Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997, at the First Baptist Church of
Florien, at 2:30 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Mack Brister, and Rev.
Jerry Masters. Interment was at Florien Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. McCleary died Monday, Jan. 13, at Cabrini Hospital in
Alexandria.

  He is survived by his wife, Eloise McCleary of Florien; two
sons, Charles McCleary of Florien, and Donald McCleary of
Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Shirley Osborne of
Rockmart, Georgia; three stepdaughters, Connie Williams of
California, Sandra Arthur of Florien, Judy Borden of Columbus,
Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews.
