The Rev. Stan McGee, pastor of Salem Baptist Church of Stonewall, where Mrs. Mason was a member, officiated. Graveside service was at 1:30 p.m., at Zion Cemetery in Fairview Alpha, La. Family received friends at the Funeral Home between the hours of 4 p.m., Monday, until time of service. Mrs. Mason, a homemaker, died Sunday, October 4, 1987, at Willis Knighton Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Harmon, La. She is survived by a son, Danny Mason of Hemphill, Tex.; two daughters, Judy Stephens of Hemphill, Tex., and Janice Chambless of Stonewall, La.; a step daughter, Pat Childress of Marthaville, La.; two sisters, Shirley Windham, and Cleola Finup of Shreveport; one brother, Alva Nichols of Frierson, La.; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were nephews.
