Mr. Marion G. "Pappy" McGowan

  Mr. Marion G. "Pappy" McGowan, 84, passed away at Sabine Medical
Center, on May 11.

  Surviving relatives are wife, Thelma R. McGowan of Many;
daughter, Gaynell McGowan Mills of Shreveport, La.; grandson,
Ronald W. Mills of Many; great granddaughters, Shannon and Stacy
Mills of Many, La.; nieces, Janice Bickham of Shreveport, La.,
and Beverly White of Dallas, Tex., and a special friend, Van
Fields of Zwolle, La.

  Mr. McGowan was a member of the Bayou Scie United Methodist
Church, and was a longtime resident of Sabine Parish.

  Services were held at Bayou Scie United Methodist Church.
Interment was in Bayou Scie Cemetery, on Thursday, May 12, at 2
p.m., with the Rev. Hugh Warren officiating.

  Pallbearers were Max Lehr, James Lehr, Randy Rains, Wesley
Martinez, Jewel Taylor, and Cecil Tooke.
