All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Mrs. Daisy Parrott McComic 31 May 1940 - Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Parrott McComic, age 58 years, who died at her home in Zwolle Sunday morning at 8:20, were held from the family residence Monday at 2 o'clock. Rev. Alfred Brown, pastor of the Zwolle Methodist church, directed the services. Remarks by Rev. W. S. Haley of Lake Charles, brother of Mrs. F. F. McComic; scripture by Rev. Joe Flanagan. The message of Comfort was delivered by Rev. T. J. Holladay, former pastor of the Zwolle Methodist church, and a life-long friend of the family. Mrs. McComic is survived by her husband, Robert S. McComic; four sons, and four daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. McComic, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McComic of Crossett, Ark., Mr. and Mrs. Dewey McComic and Mr. and Mrs. F. P. McComic, one brother, Dr. R. L. Parrott, Zwolle; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Stone of Shreveport, Mrs. S. J. Mason of Alahambra, Cal., Mrs. Mary Greer of Muskogee, Okla.; five grandchildren and a number of nephew and nieces, and a host of friends to mourn her death. Active pallbearers were her nephews: Bert Stone, Shreveport, Joe B. Parrott, Zwolle; Larry Parrott, Church Point; Max Parrott, Beaumont, Texas, Randal Parrott, Zwolle; J. B. Parrott, Houston, Texas; Jack McComic, Houston, Texas; Ivie Lee Brown, Kilgore, Texas. Interment was in the family cemetery near Zwolle under the direction of Drewitt funeral home of Mansfield.
