McComic is survived by a son, Leslie McComic of Alvin, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Lanie Smith of Baker, and Mrs. Verlene Camden of Alice, Tex.; three brothers, Oscar McComic, and Ted McComic, both of Many, and J. W. McComic of Carthage, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Winn of Longview, Tex., 37 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 9, at 2 p.m., in the Warren Meadows Chapel. The Rev. W. H. Mitchell, and the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts officiated. Masonic rites were performed at the graveside in the New Hope Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. McComic's nephews served as pallbearers.
