Melton Joel McComic

  Melton Joel McComic died at the age of 81, Tuesday, August 31,
at 11:45 a.m., at Pleasant Hill General Hospital. Mr. McComic
died after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held at Warren Meadows Funeral Home
Chapel, Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m. Officiating was Bro. Ray
Jenkins. Burial was at Zwolle Cemetery. Services were under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Melton Joel McComic, of Converse, is survived by his wife, Mary
Ethel McComic, Converse; one son, James McComic, Zwolle; two
daughters, Hazel McAndrew, Baton Rouge, Virginia Curtis, Minden;
one half brother, Howard McComic of Many; two sisters, Nellie
Scarborough, Robeline, and Mary McComic, Arkansas; 11
grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
