  Mrs. Carry Screna Magness

  Mrs. Carry Screna Magness died at the age of 86 in DeSoto
General Hospital in Mansfield, La. on July 22, 1988.

  Graveside services were held at Cassell Cemetery in Converse on
July 24, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bob Hennigan officiating. Services
were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors were her husband, William Penn Magness of Converse;
children, Mary L. Harding, P. J. Magness and Nancy Magness; four
sisters, Alice Vaughn, Orvana Lewis, Maudina Crawford and Corinne
McDonald; and one brother, Jessie Snider.
