All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Virgel Mae (Savell) McComic (Photo) Funeral services for Mrs. Virgel Mae (Savell) McComic, 81, of Fisher, were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997, at Shady Grove Church of God in Fisher. The Revs. Benny Crittenden, and James Hickman officiated. Burial followed in the Pine Knott Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. McComic died at Summit Hospital in Bossier City, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997. She is survived by one daughter, Eddie Gene McComic Naquin (husband Edward Sr.) of Fisher; one brother, A. G. Savell (wife Marie) if Zachary. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Julian Naquin Reider (husband Tyrone), Edward Naquin Jr. (wife Alena), and Ester Naquin Funderburk (husband Wesley); three great grandchildren, Nina, Carlton, and Coley Naquin of Fisher; one sister-in-law, Mary Bankston of Crossette, Ark.; and one brother-in-law, Howard McComic (wife Una) of Many. Mrs. McComic is preceded in death by her husband, Ellie McComic; one sister, Dervine Oxley; her parents, Hosea Edward, and Bell Savell; two infant brothers; and one half brother. Pallbearers were Edward Naquin Jr., Tyrone Reider, Wesley Funderburk, Jim Turner, Herman Bush, Carlton Naquin, Robert Dipley, and Bobby Likes. Honorary pallbearers were Dennis Savell, Charles Savell, Steve Savell, James Hill, Dennis Hill, Raymond Hoffman, Sam Grilliette, and Curtis Bush.
